- Bábolna Bioenvironmental Centre Plc. (Bábolna Bio) is an Hungarian company with more than 50 years of experience in the pest control industry in Europe and internationally. Over this time, the company has established a leading role in the field of large-scale pest control servicing and production and sales of rodenticides and insecticides for use in public health and stored product protection.
- Investment in innovation and novel technologies have resulted in the company achieving a leading position in the European professional and household pest control product market. Central to Bábolna Bio’s product range and business strategy are the two active ingredients, S-methoprene insect growth regulator and bromadiolone anticoagulant rodenticide. Both compounds are synthetized and formulated by Bábolna Bio in dedicated chemical plants, and are registered in the EU and internationally supported by comprehensive data packages. Access to these key compounds and other active substances has enabled the company to develop, manufacture and market a broad range of its own formulated products. Bábolna Bio holds a number of World-wide patents on its technology and supplies branded products to more than 50 countries.
- In Australia, Bábolna Bio markets products under the well-known brand names, METHOGRAIN and BIOPREN. Bábolna Bio commenced operations in Australia in 2003 and now has several active ingredients and formulations that have been approved by the Australian Pesticides & Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA). The METHOGRAIN range is for protection of stored grain while BIOPREN formulations are present as mosquito larvicides.
- Bábolna Bio continues to develop its METHOGRAIN range with new formulations to meet changing market conditions and demands. The addition of METHOGRAIN Delta IGR Grain Protectant to the METHOGRAIN product range introduces another class of chemistry in an easy to use formulation available in both separate packs, or in the convenient grain protectant pack to which users of the METHOGRAIN Grain Pack would be familiar. METHOGRAIN Delta IGR Grain Protectant is a combination formulation containing S-methoprene, deltamethrin and piperonyl-butoxide (PBO) that provides excellent residual control of a broad range of grain storage pests in a convenient format. METHOGRAIN Delta IGR Grain Protection Grain Pack is a twin pack containing packs of METHOGRAIN Delta IGR (1L pack) and METHOGRAIN Fenitrothion 1000 Insecticide (0.3L pack) sufficient to treat 50t of grain.
